The PO had a push button for the starting of the truck but used the ignition key to turn it off. There are two wires not hooked up to anything by the solenoid one is red and the other is yellow but it dont have to connector on the end maybe it came off, but what all wires go to the solenoid?
Also my truck has a toggle switch to turn on the Glow plugs what do I need to do to get it back the way its suppost to be? as in wiring wise?
Believe me you do not want to go back to OEM system......... BUT do not use a TOGGLE switch on GPs..... use a push button. This will allow instantaneous on/off power using your finger, a toggle switch will allow you or someone else to forget to turn it off and burn up the GPs.
I'm leaning toward the PO had a problem with the ignition switch start operation....... and that is why the pushbutton start switch.
