i have an 06 f350 afe intake 4inch down pipe to 5inch exhaust no cat but has muffler. i took my truck in about a month ago because it started blowing white smoke when you came to a stop at a stop light. (when truck was warm) they said the egr cooler was leaking coolant into the system. they replaced the cooler and the egr valve. i drove it for about a week still blows white smoke. i took it to a different dealer. they tested the egr system again said it was fine. also did a injector buzz test and said injectors werent sticking that the engine showed no codes and nothing wrong with it. they also did a crankcase pressure test and it passed. they say the white smoke is due to no cat or possible coolant left in the system from the egr cooler leaking.
my question is i have had the 5inch system on since a week after i bought the truck brand new. the truck only had the cat for a week. it never smoked untill about 2months ago.
yea pretty much the same process im goin through. the main reason i never bought a programmer was because i knew these trucks had turbo issues thats why my only mods where the exhaust and the intake which would help keep the egts lower and the turbo running cooler which should extend the life of it? dealer doesnt see it that way. but i have a feeling its the seals in the turbo as was the case with yours.

Pull the egr out and look at it and look down the hole and see if there is any moisture or condensation. If the egr cooler was leaking you would be loosing coolant and it would come through the egr. Also if it is coolant sometimes you get a smell of it from the exhaust. Some describe it as a kind of sweet smell.
