Lou, purchased a factory service manual from books4cars.com for $200. Everything you need to know about every part and system. Also purchased a OBD2 scan tool program for my laptop from AutoEnginuity. Goodby Sealer!

I've read some of the ebay DVD's are dated and only work if you change the date on your computer back to the year of the DVD. Something worth checking in to anyways.

I maybe wrong but I believe these copies are bootleg/pirated, therefore be careful of how you discuss these in reference to you possessing them.

Helm Inc. in Michigan produces all of Ford's manuals. If you go their site ( http://www.helminc.com/helm/welcome_...RJUJC7GMNTA24C and plug in the vehicle you are looking for, everything will be listed. The DVD for my '08 F-450 is $2200, there are other CDs and DVDs ranging from $10 to several hundreds. The paper versions are usually around $200. Any CD/DVD on e-Bay is stolen material, they usually sell for $5 - $10. It's copywrite infringement which is federal, but I doubt they will come after you. Personally, I don't buy hot stuff.

Not all ebay stuff is pirated some maybe more than 1/2 but not all thats a foolish comment.
@ 50k for the truck, $200 for the manuals and $95 an hour for laborsomething has to give. I am not a big fan of pirated stuff but my copy works with no date change and if it can save me alot of $$$$ then sorry I will let it . I use ford parts and go to the dealer when I have to or warranty dictates but its all dollars and cents
If a am going south to the fire pit for this moral hiccup then I will have alot of company cause there are worse people in the world. And I have done some of those worse things. Not perfect never claimed to be
