C4 trans shifting odd....
This should be an easy one for the guru's.
Quick history - dropped the pan and put in a new filter, shifts good from 1-2 but 2-3 only occurs when I release the throttle, when I get back on the gas, it drops to second. Found a little fluid in the modulator so I bought a new one and did not cure my issue.
Thoughts?????

i want to say the passing gear rod is stuck in pass.
i had the same problem on the C6 in my 79. when the linkage would dry out, it would stick in passing gear. spray it down with pb blaster every 6 months or so, and it has been fine for over 15 years now.
