Difference in front ends?

so i have an 04 350 and have always wanted the 05-07 chrome grille... i have a chance to get the front end of an 05, what is the difference in the grilles headlights and bumper are the mounting brackets in different places or do you jus have to get all the pieces to make the grille fit i was told the grille wouldnt just interchange which i figured it wouldnt anyway.... to they make somethin to convert the brackets if thats the problem? any info would be appreciated...

This is pretty common. Do a search in the superduty section if you haven't already. I think the bottom of the new grille gets trimmed to fit. The newer headlights can be added also. There are kits available on Ebay.

Yep, if you added the new bumper, the new grille will fit without trimming.

If you get the new header panel...the grille will fit right in (but you'll need the new headlamps), or you can keep your old header panel and use zip ties at the bottom.

At that point, you might as well get the headlamps and header panel as well to complete the swap.

If you get this done I would love some pics! I was thinking of doing the same thing to my 04. Thanks

I have the trimmed 05-07 grill on my 04 and it looks great. No headlight or bumper swap and I like the looks of it better than the 05-07's just because I don't like the painted trim panel on the newer bumpers.

When you do the complete conversion....pretty much the only way to know it's not a 05-07 truck is by looking at the front suspension....unless of course do swap in the newer axle and suspension as well.

would probably look good, i have a beige truck and want to add a black 2 tone on the bottom, also upgrade to the 05-07 front harley front bumper grill and headlights, 08 tailgate headlights and rear bumper, powder coat my bumpers, running boards and grill black, get the paintable wheel well trim and paint them black. Don't know how many of you guys remember the older 2 tone trucks that had the roof painted the same colour as the middle accent, but i'd like to do something similar as that aswell with my roof being black
