Believe it or not...that little mini fairs quite well in crash tests. It has full front/rear side curtain air bags and is well engineered for crumple zones.
I'd actually prefer to be in the mini vs mini van based on what I've seen on the crash ratings!
NOW...the ultimate choice is to be in NO ACCIDENTS...but as they say...stuff happens...and you can't live your life wondering what if that happens...have fun and if I die having fun...well that's okay!!!
Back around 1994 or 1995 my neighrbor had a LITTLE Toyota for sale. My wife had a fit to buy it and drive it, she likes small cars. After a short while though I got fed up with worrying about her and my daughter getting involved in an accident with it. I got rid of it and made her drive a new Chevrolet Lumina.
