hard start cold

I have to put the accelerator to the floor on my 2000 F250 7.3 it acts just like its flooded any ideas?

does it only do it when the trucks cold?
If it is. how would you like to wake up and right there an then be forced to run as fast as you could? you would stumble fall and prob couldnt even do it.
the truck just needs to be warmed up and running on all cylinders before it going to run well.
