Question spare tire carrier

I'm looking for a swing away spare tire carrier for my '90 Bronco, I've looked at Bronco Graveyard,Jc Whitney,Road Armor and several other places but haven't found one. Does anybody know where I can find one ?

Try a salvage yard, I have seen them before.

Just to let you know that if your bronco did not come with one you just cant put one on there. they came from the factory with reinfocements in the back quarter pannel to help carry the load. without the reinforcements the tire rack will rip apart form the truck.

When I took my tire carrier off my tail gate I found a reinfocement bracket in the tailgate but nothing but a threaded insert on the fender connection location. I also have mine still are you located near NJ?

As someone told you before, try a salvage yard, and search for an original one, they work pretty well, mine has even opened and swinged on the move (i didn´t lock it right or forgot i opened it, has happened several times), has been hit by cars, trees, etc. and it kept working just fine, it also doesn´t ad much weight to the car.

P.S.: Remember the tailgate has to be reinforced internally if a swing away is going to be installed.

boondockbumpers.com make an outstanding rear bumper with tire carrier. i highly recommend them.

the stock rear tire carrier is really only good for a 31" tire. anything more puts tremendous stress on the tailgate and will eventually ruin it. also if your rig didnt come with this rear tire carrier setup then the rear quarter panel wont have the reinforcement in it either. have a bumper made its far more worth it.
