let off for od

Hi i have a 90 f150 5.0 engine my problem is i have to let off the gas to get it to shift into over drive. anyone else have this problem. i have had the fluid recently changed the truck just has 82000 miles. it seem to pull normal and shifts fine from first to third. thanks to all.

what transmission do you have that will help determining the trouble?

I don't know what trans it is it's a 1990 f150 xlt lariat auto 3 speed with overdrive. where would i look to find out which one i have? thanks again for all reply's.
