Hello.
I have an 88 F-250 with a 460 that needs the power steering pump replaced. My question is can the pump be removed by it's self, or do I need to first remove the aluminum bracket that also holds the A/C compressor, and the belt tensioner?
the first thing is to remove the belt then with a special tool remove the pressed on pulley [ advance and autozone lend tools] then after oulley removal there are three bolts that hold the pump tp the aluminum frame!then usually the same tool that pullit off doubles to press the pulley back on hope this helps!!
