Just finished installing harmon kardon drive +play unit works very nice and easy to install. used a sirius fm adaptor to use fm out of unit (still gets static during quiet passage of music also needed a radio shack 2.5 to 3.5 mm adaptor . not bad for $50 total..... pics in gallery...
well I guess I'm a techno-dummy cause I got no idea what you are talking about BUT I did look in your gallery; which didn't help me ; and I got to say those rims are the nicest looking rim I've seen on a Ex
I'm sorry guys i assumed everyone know what the harmon kardon drive+play is. this is a unit that controls you ipod , the display shows track ,artist, playlist etc, the **** controls the ipod ...this way you can leave the ipod tucked away and control it remotely. this unit then plays through the factory radio by the means of an fm adaptor. hope this clears it up.
I did the same install in my X and put the controller and display the same place you did. Looks good.
However, too much static and found if travelling any distance having to constantly change the station it was modulated on to get a clear signal. You are right that for the money it is the best. Hope you have luck with in your area avoiding interference.
I ended up having the Panasonic navigation, dvd, sattellite radio, backup camera, internal hardrive w/ library, and ipod interface unit installed and have been very happy with it.
