I was wondering about my 1978 Bronco, it has dual front shock mounts up front that look stock, it's a 351M Auto with NP205 case and lockouts. Was this a special package bronco, does it have lower gears? It does have a bada** paint job, red with a black top, it has three strips that run from the cab roof to the back of the body in three different shades of yellow/orange, straight out of the 70's man!
Well I figured it part way out with your help, thanks. My bronco is the 78 model Free Wheeling package, which was black bumpers, black grill, 3 stripes (orange, tan, cream), dual black low mount mirrors, sport steering wheel, black glove box applique, and 5 wagon wheels with RWL tires.
But there's more, it's also got the handling package, that includes quad front shocks(2 per side), rear stabilizer bar, and heavy duty rear shocks (long gone I'm sure).
I love this thing, it's rotten right now and mostly disassembled (I drove it 8 miles in 0 degree weather with out a windshield, doors, or rear gate to get it to my house) but i'll try to get some pics up.
