I did it! 2000 Ex
I took the plunge yesterday and got myself (my wife actually) a 2000 Ex with 62000 miles. V - 10, 4:30 gears, XLT, really nice vehichle. Man that v 10 is stronger than my powerstroke (I think? It sure takes off ALOT better than my diesel.)

congrats on the new X. Ieat is on the money. The power you get off the line with 4.30 is amazing. The 7.3 wihtout any work is a dog off the line no matter how hard you punch it. After a few aftermaket products even w 3.73 it gets up and goes. That is a nice truck you got . Keep her serviced and she will last you a long time. Enjoy haer and get some pics for us. Welcome to the board. First mod for her should be exhaust if you like that kind of thing. lol
