I was having turbo problems a few eweeks back and after removing turbo in an attempt to clean per the TSB found that turbo was too corroded to clean. Bought new turbo and reinstalled. Worked perfect for 2 weeks but this past week I started the truck at 10 degrees below zero and let warm up for 15 minutes. Turbo was again not responsive unless I really stepped on the throttle and would not stay up with any boost for about 45 minutes of driving but then worked normal. Has not happened since and it has been colder since then at 20 below zero. What the heck is going on? I do know that my Exhaust Pressure Sensure needs replacement. Could this be causing the problem? Help I'm very confused!
The Dealer told me after testing the turbo, and egr that the turbo was bad as well as the EGR and the Exhaust Pressure Sensor. EGR is disconnected, turbo is new and I do have a replacement Exhaust Pressure Sensor and according to the 6.0 bible there is one on the front right of the engine.
On the top front of the turbo there is a electric plug into the vgtcv. It adjusts the turbo according to maf if I am not mistaken. It could very well be your problem as it works on an oil feed and can get gummed up. Exhaust pressure sensor caused problems and ford took it out of the programing its now calculated from readings from other sensors.

Interesting. When you buy a new turbo from Ford you DO NOT get the vgtcv and you need to swap it with the old one. Should I pull this and make sure it is not plugged?
Does any body else have any input on the Exhaust Pressure Sensor on a 2005 F350????
Try this page http//intellidog.com/dieselmann/60bulletin.htm I found the tsb that took it out of the 03-04 but not the 05 and up. There is a lot of great info in there.
