Roof console

I have a 99 and the led in the roof fades in and out. Is this an easy fix or cost money

Thanks,
Michael

I think my display is burnt out. there is an area on the side of the "screen" that has what appears to be a burn mark under the glass. Is that normal? Anyway I called the dealer and they told me that it was year and model specific is that true?

They told me that I had to replace it with one from a 99 F250 SD Lariat. That doesnt seem right though.

The burnt spot is is on all displays, just can't see it until you take it out. Do the fix in the post, it will work. I've done it and a couple more for buddies. All are still working fine.
