My MPG continue to go down this winter, staying around 9.5-9.8 (hand calculated) I drive 8 miles each way every day to work. This summer in the same pattern I was getting 12.5-13.0. Any ideas besides the usual..plugs, o2 sensors, maf sensor cleaning? I currently have around 72,000 miles on it. 02 F250 V10 CC 4x4 3.73. Thanks, Steve
A Lot of people have this problem and It seems it is a mixture of things. The winter fuel has different additives which negetivly affects the milage of our vehicles, also longer idle times especially if you let your truck warm up for a few minutes every time you start it. But also check and see if the gas you are using has ethonal in it. This also can lower your milage. I would wait till spring and see if it comes back up before you start spending money on parts.
