1998 Ranger Question
I'm looking at possibly buying a 98 Ranger with the 2.5L 4cyl 5 speed with 136,000 miles. The dealer is wanting 2,995, is that a decent price? What things should I look out for on that model year? Thanks

do you check craigslist to compare prices...find deals?
I'm kind of in the same boat. Wondering if buying a 98 6cy 3L 93,000 miles is worth buying for 6800. I check trucktrader.com and craigslist and pennysaver and recycler and ebay...don't have answer yet. don't know if 98 good year for the Ranger. Have had '91 for 14 years now have to find another truck-she is pretty beaten up, still, thinkin' still want another 91 with 4.0 6cy with low mileage way to go. Hopefully folk here will fill us "wonders" what the deal is. Aloha. I have sought out '91's with about that same mileage that you stated with the 4.0 6cy for the same about the same amount you stated. In my heart the 91 is da kine. But maybe the 98 is da kine too. Heard '99 had it's problems and recalls. Hoping for answers quick before someone else comes along and buys up the the "deals" I've found.
