Wait a sec, I want to see what kind of truck is hooked up to the other side of that tow strap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I seen the truck it was hooked up to, it was the new 6.4L with a Spartan tune!
actually i have no idea, but there is one thing i know and that isn't going to be cheap to fix!
LOL...That's what you call a FUBAR. You reckon it might have been the same Ford hooked to the front of that rig as was hooked to the other rig that was stuck in the snow (another thread)??
Maybe Ford should examine this idea of seperating the front end from the rest of the truck to make working on the 6.0 easier.....
It appears the truck was disabled, and they are going to tow it in.
See the air line going from the front truck to the disabled.
Either the brakes weren't released in the disabled truck, air pressure was lost to the second truck, or the driver of the second truck pulled the brakes, or inexperienced tow driver.
Either that or it was a new F450 comercial gone horribly wrong, we all know that the GM truck sitting in the ditch tried to pull it and could not. So the 450 hooked onto it and pulled it in 2.
Well Bob, looks like you got a hole in transverse mount holding up the rear angle bracket connected to the exhaust filter, wich punctured the casing. "whats that mean Jim?" Looks like you got a hole in your muffler!!! "Can you fix it?" We can fix that with some duck tape, but the racoon under here doesn't look so good.
sorry boys you're all wrong I'm from alberta canada where that happened. sorrymrxlh not a gas compressor either but close, what it is, is what we refer to as a horsepower. it's a unit designed to pump fluid under very high pressurei.e. 380gpm at up to 10,000psi, they're rated around 2500 ponies. any way what happend is that he tailended another truck in the convoy and when they tried to pull the wreck off the road this happened. the company whose unit this is is just thrlled to be so "famous". if you want more pictures of this kind check out "Superstar Drivers of the Oilpatch" on facebook they have about 1200 pics of various wrecks from the oil industry in western canada
Mud pump? Or used to unload a well? We call em gas jacks down here, they will pump anything, fluid, gas, sand ect. ect. they are mainly used to unload wells that have a history of fluid problems. The gas jacks are kind of fitting to be mentioned on this site, since they are a 460 ford, running 4 cyls for power and 4 cyls for the compressor end.
generally used to pump a slurry of sand and water( or oil) to fracture the formation to enhance recovery of hydrocarbon. the fluid fractures the formation then the "sand" props the fracture open, she's fairly busy when you have 8 or 10 going at once works out to say 3800 gpm at up to 10000 psi
Hey Nitrogen, my buddy works for trican, and he said the guy getting towed in that kenworth slammed on the brakes, for some unknown reason, and the result was what you see in the picture!
I work in the patch too actually, even though I live in saskatoon
