what rearend do u suggest
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Sep-02 AT 06:38 PM (EST)]i have a 1978 f150 parts car wit a blowen 460 motor can i take the rearend off it like the whole thing axlel and all even the caseing and woulf that work better then my stock 1978 1??? and how do i tell the diffrence between them by just looking under the truck ?

Your parts truck is a '78 F150 ( 2 or 4 wheel drive?) and your truck is a '78 F150? If so, they should both be the same axle (9"). The only question is the gear ratio. Is your truck a 4*4? If so, the front and rear axle need to have the same gear ratio. The easiest way to find out gear ratios is to look at the axle tag, which will be under one of the bolts that hold the third member into the housing. Sorry for all the questions, I may have missed an earlier post that contained the informantion.
