Anyone seeing the eclipse?
Take a look up toward the East. Total Lunar Eclipse!
Awesome! The blue color you can see, in and out, is an affect of the ozone.
Just thought I'd share. It's peaking now.

Aaah Chet, that is so cool. I wish I had a telescope to see it through. Are you able to see the subtle torquoise colors filtering through?
Bet you wish you were still in Mexico, sitting on the beach with a margarita and watching this show.

I would have been heading to Mexico next week. As it is, I'm off to China for an extended stay. Let's see, hmmm... Dalian, the northern most ice free harbor in China. Or Baja California, MX. Which would you choose as an excursion toward the end of winter?

Dang - I missed this one. I was in a meeting until about 7:45p went outside and was noticing how nice and full the moon was. Dolt I am !!!

I caught it just as it had started, then it was time for my usual Weds. night gig at the pub so of course it was all over and done with by the time we were done playing.

Yeah, had I'd know I would have figured out a way of my meeting. Then I would have twisted fastmovers arm for the use of his tripod for some video and digital snaps.
Ah, there will be a next time ... Solar eclipses are a little more difficult to catch if you miss one. I think they only come around to the same spot every 300 years or something like that. This year on Aug 1st if you travel to Canada, Greenland, Russia or China you will be able to see a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE.
