electric windows from a doner?

electric windows from a doner?

i did a serch on electric windows but didnt find anything... ive got a few doner cars and was wondering if anyone has pulled the electric window supplies from a late model for there trucks ( mines a 49 and the donor i was looking at was a 92 crown vic (rear windows ) as they are pretty square and fairly straight....

IMO, it'd be alot of work. But, if the scissors action doesn't exceed the sides where the door latch linkages are, then it might work. I would think an 80's power window set-up from an F-series pickup would work better....just a thought.

yeah prolly would... i havnt gotten in there to take measurments yet( too cold ) and the crown vic is free that was the only reason for asking

I have a friend who has used the rear power window motors out of older Lincolns. I don't know much about them but his power windows always work very smooth. I would think the Vic motors would be similar. Not sure how much different the regulators might be. Get that tape measure out and let us know what you find.
