Best Carb?
Going to put a bigger carb on my 79 400, just want some input on what carb to put on... gas mileage doesnt matter just power. Size and Make would be appreciated. Also, any intake suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

Is the 400 stock, -or a rebuild with 9.0+ compression, big cam, etc?
If it is stock go with a Weiand or Edelbrock dual plane manifold and an Edelbrock 600cfm carb.
If it is a rebuild go with the same manifold. If it is a RV or stock cam the Edelbrock 600cfm will do for the street.
If it has a big cam of some sort intended to run at 3500-5500 rpm a lot you could go to a ~750cfm carb either Edelbrock or Holley.
