I am in the process of installing a '96 Explorer rear in my '55 Panel for the disc brakes and the emergency brakes. That diff does not have the correct yoke for a 1350 joint at the end of the driveshaft that I still must have fabricated. I had seen on an earlier post that Spicer makes such a yoke for the 8 inch differential. Anyone have an idea of the number or where I may find one? Thanks for your help.
The driveline shop has all the info and parts for anything to anything conversions. I let the DL shop do all mine since it cost no more for their expertise. I did like Jaye. My cost for everything, 100.00 and no chasing around, all balanced, full guarantee.
They will even advise on how and where to take your measurement.

Your local Driveshaft builder should know what to do here, I supplied the Exploder driveshaft,.they offered two different tailshafts for AOD trans,..let me try them for fit. After picking one, I gave them a dimension..from center to center on the flanges.
Had a nice new pretty driveshaft 3 hours later.
In my area , the company who built the shaft,.also sells rebuilt front-wheel drive axle's,
might be another place to look, the local NAPA also makes them.
driveline shops are the way to go. You can either get the proper yoke, or have them modify your existing driveshaft, or have them make you a new one(but this will cost the most). While their at it, they can balance your driveshaft, and provide a quality U-joint. That said, a 1350 U-joint size? That's like 80's F150/250 size.
