Got a 2000 X amd my radio is changing stations whenever I brake hard, hit a hard bump, and sometimes just turning the corner. It only changes among the pre-set stations, never to some ramdom station that I don't normally listen too. Its not linear on the dial or on the pre-sets. I.E. Pre-set 1 to 4 to 5 to 3 to 1 etc. and station wise 97 to 105 to 101 etc.
Anybody else had this problem?
Ha! I was thnking '80's gremlins, then I could just shine some sunlight on 'em and get them to stop.
Seriously though, the dang radio is driving me crazy. I get to listen to about 1/4 song before it randomly switches. Its like its on scan, where you listen to a few seconds before it changes stations, only it uses the pre-sets only during change.

Mine was doing that also, then it just started working right again by itself.. However it has always given me fits with the CD player...There are times when it won't let me play them and times when it won't give them back..Regarding the former, what I usually do is to load them in a slot below three and it'll take it.. On the latter, usually it'll give it back when I'm not around..Now it's totally eaten a CD and tells me that it's not even there and the radio is coming on,sometimes 30 seconds to a minute after I turn it on or start the car..I did buy those releases for the radio, but the car won't let me pull it out to see what's wrong or to see if I can get my CD back..
I have $100 ded on my new extended warranty and the radio and the door lock actuator are both covered,so I think I'll take it into the dealer...
Bigdog, which extended warranty did you get? I was thinking of getting the 7 years 70k warranty for like $2,000. That would cover the inside stuff and the engine. I put very little milage on it so 70k is plenty.
I got one thru Warranties 4 wheels and it was full coverage, 36 month unlimited and was $1800 with turbo coverage, high mileage (I just went over 100,000), extra labor rate coverage and $100 ded.. Most of the warranties I looked at only went to $55 or $60 an hour for labor and it cost me an extra $50 for the higher labor coverage.
