I was accelerating up a hill yesterday and my truck started to fart like a banchie and puking black smoke out the pipes, I got it on video and you can hear it and it shows the dash in acceleration. Called the dealer and they said i have turbo probs?
its done it before going up a hill, it still has gobbs of power and runs fine other than a bit of farting up hill. where could i put this video up so others can see the turbo fart !

That's not farting.. Turbo Fart is the excess of boost exiting the intake the opposite way.. Occurs normally when your running hard/high boost and you let go of the throttle immediately..
What you have sounds like EGR Valve is gummed up and your getting surge.. Put the video up on Youtube so we can see it.. But based on your description I'm leaning towards EGR and surge..
hey storm i got that up on U-Tube
the heading is Turbo Fart, it just finished so i dont know if it immediately goes up or what but it said it was up. take a look and tell me what you and anybody else thinks.
it took a long time cause im on dial up

I'm glad you confirmed that the speedo was in KpH--I was gonna try to find a way to reduce the drag my engine has; at 85 mph, I'm closer to 3000 revs per minute.
This is what I see... Your surging and the reason why is the question.. Only time I see this kind of issue on an incline is due to improperly tuned vehicles where the cycle is too low and the truck starts bucking. I'm not familiar with the smartbox, but I'm almost certain you could pull that box out and hit that same hill at 80-100km/h (45-62mph) without the surging..
actually i have tried it with the box in and the box out, also with the box on only 75 gain still does it just around that speed. with that said if i hit the hill *remember very long grade* and throttle up till the truck tops out it will do it then also, i think around 100mph dont qoute me on that.
