I threw in some Sta-bil when mine turned to gel and it seemed to work fine (after it turned back to normal)

When I lived in idaho, occasionally we would take the tractor out of the shop in 28 below weather, if you ran the rpms to high the wind from the fan would jell the fuel in the lines. Let it sit for 2 minutes or so and the heat from the block would warm it up enough to get it going again, the only reason that would work is the fuel in the tank was warm from being inside. It doesn't get that cold any more there.

From what I was once told from a friend of mine who works at a bulk fill terminal, the oil in the fuel seperates from the water. This is what I was told.
