pre-runner project... need approval yes/no??

pre-runner project... need approval yes/no??
going to start a project sometime soon.. a 2004 f150 into a pre runner with full suspension system, fiberglass fenders, roll cage, control a-arms, engine mods, frame work and tons more!!!.... but im not sure if i have to notify the DMV about all theese mods for approval??

You don't need to tell the DMV anything unless you plan on never registering it again. But even if you take the plates off you'll still need a green sticker to off road it here in Cali. Are you making a race truck or are you making a street legal pre-runner?

well im still stuck in choosing between the two??? it would be cool to have a race truck but i dont race.. nd it woould be a waste to have it sitting in the garage all the time.. soo im kind of pushsn more towards street legal?????
