I never said the engine would be quiet, I said "it will purr like a kitten". Camshaft specs can be misleading if you don't have anything to compare it to. I'm sure you've seen the video of my old engine running or heard Morris's 83 convertible. It had a fairly nice lope to it for a stock camshaft, now lets look at the specs:
As you can see I actually have lots more overlap that what I had originally. Now go back to my "kitten" reference, I'm sure you've held a purring kitten. There is a continuous rhythm to it but it is even. So I can idle at 700 rpm but it's not gonna sound like no sewing machine!
i see the point to both sides. Nathan is creating somewhat of a sleeper, while Ryan sits there in a "lumpy" idle. personally i love lumpy, but the sleeper effect is pretty cool too.
If you going for sound you might as well pony up for a mechanical lumpy camshaft so you can hear the lifters cackle as well. Now that would really make them want to look under the hood.
yep...no roller stuff. all mechanical...true old school and useless
K, you lost me in clever wording, maybe it's because I have been pre-drinking for Overdrive so I'm just going to act like you said something beutiful and shinny.
