Dealers!!
ok i hate the dealership they charge you $85 for a new air filter when your truck only has 13000 miles on it and hasnt even been drivin in that dusty of sh@t and the reason i took it is was because the check engine like was on, wouldnt there be a air filter restriction msg? but i have black soot in my pipes and its been tryin or is regening for about 3-4 days and i can smell diesel inside the cab alot more when im sittin and idling. but they wouldnt continue w/ diagnoses untill i paid for a new filter...i just think its bs...but w/e had to let u guys know

No thats just BS. I would definetly let ford corporate know about that. Once they do find a defective DPF I would try to put back the dirty filter and make sure it still does fine and then take it back and tell them about it. also let ford corporate know about that.
Good luck and I would try and find another dealership for service

Well just got the truck back...they said the black soot in the tail pipes was because of my MBRP exaust...and i got charged 67.50 for the air filter...so i asked for my old on and the darn thing doesnt even look dirty...and to top it all off the Service advisor was gone so yet another trip back tomorrow

I had a bad dealer service department fiasco recently with a pull to the left they couldn't fix and kept doing the same thing over and over. After the fourth trip to the dealer for the same issue, I called Ford's Customer Care and got immediate response. They worked with another dealer and those guys really walked the line to ensure it got fixed that time. I suggest you call Ford's Customer Care department - it really works.

Well Ford told me only thing they would do for me is extend my warranty and make a truck payment!!! What the he**
So the dealer told me he would try to trade it in and not hurt me to bad.
The BBB has not responded yet. But the Ford guy said HE WILL NOT BUY IT BACK PERIOD.
