For giggles, take a meter to the bottom of the fuse, and open and close the door slowly, may be were the wire come to the door. I am looking for anything else that fuse controls now. Sorry, you will want one lead to the bottom of the fuse, the other to ground.
I can not find anyting yet in the Haynes manual, still looking though

I checked from bottom of #42 Delayed Aux. Fuse to ground, while opening and closing door very slowly several times with key off, and found no short. My meter showed open the entire time. To verify I had a good ground for ohm check, I put the meter on voltage and turned key on to see if I saw the 12vdc, which I did.

How did the problem occur?
The plunger coming in the door hit the wire bundle, which finally broke the plastic holder that held the bundle. When the holder broke it allowed the bundle and the speaker wires to get even closer to the plunger. The plunger finally focused on the speaker wires pinning them behind it every time the door was fully open, resulting in them shorting out.
