Pulled front leafs stock shocks OK?

Pulled front leafs stock shocks OK?
I pulled out some leafs in my front springs per MidFifty's instructions. I also added the Teflon spring liners. Should the stock length shocks be OK with this setup? Anyone have any experiences to share?

Disconnect the top of the shock and compress it all the way down from it's at rest length to see how much travel is left before it bottoms (and to see what condition they are in, if they compress easily they need replacement anyhow) If you have at least 2" of travel left or more than the distance between the axle and the frame bump stop you should be OK.
