I got mine the other day. This surprised me because I am the second owner of my truck and I have never had it at a dealership.

I got one the same way for my 93, second owner and never to a dealership.
Ford must get them from vehicle registrations....So much for the privacy act!

They do...
They are only allowed to do it for what are called Owner Notified Programs (i.e. it has to be determined that it consititutes a safety problem)

Yeah they somehow get it to you even if you havent had it to the dealer but i can see why with recalls like that
