From my research that is the original handle angle.

The push starter was son's idea. He thought have a push start would be really cool and we had an extra hole in the dash, so we used it for that.

The gauges are VDO, I bought them from Summit Racing. The bezel is the original bezel filled in and re-drilled for these gages. I really like the white numbers and white needles with the black background.

show off ! now go get it dirty and enjoy it !!!!!!!!! oh yeah the push button starter is a good anti theft device . none of my kids , wife or son inlaws could figure out how to start my 53 !!!!!!!!!!

What did you swipe those reverse lights from? I've been thinking of doing something similar on my truck.

You and your son deserve a huge pat on the back and a round or two of frosty beverages!

I have the same experience, no one knows how to start it.

I cut the entire center section out. welded in a flat plate and made a wood pattern to use as a jig so the hole saw didn't wander.
