evap cannister RANGER 2001 2wd V6

thanks for everyones help with changing out the lower ball joints. It is up and running and is real smooth and tight now. Has 144,000 miles on it. I give up. There is an evap cannister, or a charcoal filter, on this truck. There are three hoses going to it. One from the fuel tank. One from the intake manifold and one that comes from somewhere else. There is a sensor on the cannister that feeds to the computer. I sense the sensor is bad cause if you try to have an exhaust test done on the truck it always comes up evap not ready. I can't find the evap cannister. There were hints that it was up where the spare tire is. Nope. There is a big black box behind the spare tire but it doesn't have three hoses going to it. I don't know what it is. Maybee a fuel punp? Does anyone know where the evap cannister is????????????????????

Never mind. I found it. It's by the battery of all places. I guess it was too obvious.
