3 inch leveling kit.

If I were to go with the 3inch leveling kit to run 35 inch tires on my truck would I need to do anything to the rear or could I just leave it alone. Also, has anyone ever heard of Hell Bent Steel and their leveling kits. Thanks for your help

I have never heard of Hell Bent Steel, but I did put the 3" leveling kit on mine from Fat Bob's Garage. You can clear 35's without having to do anything to the rear. The front is going to be a little higher, though it looks level.

By the way good luck and GO GATORS!

I have the HBS system...it is great. They have them for $69 w/ free shipping on thier website or $70 via ebay. They take paypal and my parts were to me w/in 3 days. Real solid stuff, powdercoated is good.

check your local autoparts store, you might be able to rent one for free....

or...harbor freight is a great place for 1 time use for CHEAP...actually their hand tools are pretty good quality imho.

Good luck, be sure to get an alignment when you are done.

I will get my leveling kit this Friday!!!!! I plan on putting bigger tires on my truck sometime soon, so my question is do I get an alignment with the tires that are on it now or do I need to wait until I get the 35's on?

Post some pics of the truck once you have it installed...as far as allignment I would do it asap after the install so you don't ruin those nice 20's.

Anyone who has installed this yet does anyone know the proper size sockets and wrenches I will need? I look at fatbobs and HBS and they are saying you need a 15mm, 18mm, 21mm, 27mm wrench, 30mm. I looked at rough countrys and they have complete different sizes... Anyone know the proper sizes...

a 30mm deepwell socket and 1 1/16" wrench. the rest of the install is simple handtools

I think my Autosprings kit used 5/8" nuts ontop and the stock nuts were 1/2"

the 30mm socket is for the bottom of the coil-over...there is this big a$$ bolt that you gotta remove

So, what is the 1 1/16 wrench for? The other side of the bottom of the coil?

So, I am kind of ticked off right now at FATBOBS GARAGE. I ordered my kit got and got it in today... I asked for the anodized black and they gave me silver plus its all scratched and looks like it has been mounted before. Also, the chunk of aluminum is just short of 2 inches thick? Is this normal? Any help would be appreciated...

Same thing happened to me, kinda. I asked for the black and received the silver. Mine however was not scratched up, it actually looked like it was just machined.

Also the thickness is correct. Mine was just short of 2" and the front ended up being a hair shy of 3" of lift when I got done.

If you look at my gallery, you can see the silver in the front wheel wells. I have been think of painting them myself.
