Torque converter shutter
I am sure that there is a post on this somewhere on this site all ready. I just dont have the time to find it. Any way, I have added the "friction modifier" and though it helped some, it didnt do the trick. I DIDNT flush the fluid first only because I didnt have time. My question is, (truck has 170,000 miles) wouldnt it be better to just replace the torque converter rather than keep flushing fluids when this happens. How long should the converter last? I have no reason to think that mine is original nor that it was ever replaced. In other words, could have 170,000 miles on it, might not either.

On another note, is there somewhere in charlotte NC that I can take the truck to have the speedometer checked to make sure it is correct.
