Pulled the plug wires off the 279. Look like original factory. FoMoCo on plug boots, Molded rubber stanchons under manifold and on rear of block. Was quite a hard time getting to all the bolts.
Looking for the best way to replace the wires. Can we get factory type kits
(1954 f-750-,279 ). Or do you just make wires up.
So far, I have not been able to find a kit for this particular engine
I will be replacing the dist cap etc with a pertronics. Also had some damage under ram's head manifold.
I also got my wire kit I got mine from Pep Boys, I've also seen them at Advanced Auto Parts. Like Randy Jack mentioned the tool to crimp the wires doesn't cost very much.
Thanks to all. Went to Advance Auto parts this morning, they have several sets of varing quality and costs. Summit racing has a mounting bracket set and insulators.
