I'm building a 460 thats going to be in the 550hp range. I'm using a comp cam 34-247-4 cam, and the recomended spring is the 924-16 double spring with dampener.
Do I need to machine the valve guides down ? The inner spring sits on the guide perfectly, while the outer fits around the guide like the stock ones.
It doesn't look like I will be able too runn stock valae seals either, as they touch the inner spring
Q'S
1) Do I need to mill the heads ?
2) Can anyone recomend valve seal ?
You will need to set up the springs at the correct installed height. This may require some shims or a cup under the springs. You should run the permanent valve seals. They will clear the inner spring.
