Power pedals question- working correctly ??

Are the power adjustable pedals supposed to reset themselves after you shut the truck off ? On my 07 they come back up to their high regular setting after my truck is off for a while (as little as 1/2 hour). I have to push the button to power them down after I start the truck everytime. Sounds to me like they are not working right.

I haven't noticed mine doing that. We have them in my wifes Explorer and I have them in the truck.

The only time the pedals move in my '04 is when I use the memory function when changing drivers.

Sounds to me like they are programmed to your key fob. The pedals are tied into the memory feature of the seat, and the memory feature can be tied to the key fobs so it’s always in the right position by the time you get in if you have different drivers. Go out to your truck and set them all the way back, then hit unlock on your key fob, bet they go back up. You can ether disable this feature or reprogram your seat position with the pedals all the way down.

It definitely sounds like they are not functioning correctly. The only time they should be moving is when being adjusted or you hit one of the memory buttons. I would take it into your preferred dealership and let them take a look at it. I do not know if this is a function of the PCM, or some other computer module, but either way, they may need to replace that component. Maybe a segment of bad flash memory or something? (Speculation on my part.)
