Quad cab on standard cab chassis

Hello.
I have a question is there a way to mount the cab off of a 4 door on the chassis from a standard cab 2 door. i was thinking it would make a cool retro sport truck Just a thought...

Yeah I did it with a 79 ford You have to take the crossmember out of the 4dr frame its the one at the back of the cab. You would also have to make bed around 5ft long.

You may have to put a body lift on it to avoid the frame kick-up behind the cab.

I was thinking about using an extended cab frame but the short frame would give the short short bed i was thinking about. not sure about the cab mounts but i think moving the rear mounts would allow the cab to be mounted to the frame. Another thought i had was to mount the cab and find a bronco and mount that to the back end. I know there was a company that built a 4 door bronco. but home made is more fun. i am also thinking 3/4ton 6.9 diesel w/ 5spd. i know the body would take a large amount of cutting and welding. but it would be cool to say "i did that". scott
