Are the 2V heads pretty decent? If I upgrade my intake manifold so I can install a larger carb, will the heads hinder the upgrade?
Should I round up 4V heads?
Thanks.
The only real problems with the 2V heads are the chamber design and the somewhat poor flowing exhaust ports. The open chamber is detonation prone so you can't up the compression ratio too far. Overall though, they are good heads for a mild street engine. Aussie heads (with the 2V ports and 4V chambers) would be a better option than 4V heads for a street motor, especially with cleaned up ports and 4V exhaust valves installed.

I agree 100% with what Quantrex said here..For street use the 4V heads are not the best. But the Aussie's have it going on.
If you where building a Street/Strip Engine then I'd go with the 4V heads just to get the flow at the higher RPM's.
