where do you guys hook-up ACC items... all of my other vehicles have a spade buss for this in the fuse box... but there is no where in the dash fuse box to hook-up anything...
what are you trying to hook up? does it need to be switched? interior or exterior? if its A high load item i`ll pull a fused wire off the battery, or you can use fuse taps directly off the fuse. if it doesnt use much power you can tap the ignition wire at the base of the steering column.

it has a sirius add-on, but the key has to be on (run position) for it to work... i want it to work on ACC...
do you know what color wire from the ignition switch i would tap into???
i have a 2000 X limited 4x4 if year matters...
there are so many wires and modules and not much slack in the wires from the ignition... on just a quick look i havent even found where the wire from the sirius is yet... it looks like there are three wires in a harness from the docking station, that run under the dash somewhere... two to one round pin connector, i assume are +/- and one wire to a round pin connector on the opposit side of the docking station, i have no idea what this wire is... i will have to cut into the harness to see what color the wires are, but after i find the other end, i think i will be able to avoid doing that...
thanks for any info... i know this is a simple problem with a simple solution... but i don't know and wouldn't want to do something that may damage something else...
If you are hooking up a sirius radio find power wire going to the factory radio and tap into that. That way it stays on when you shut the motor off and the radio is still on until you open the door. Other than that just take a test light and find a wire with power the way you want.
Do just like mudmaker said hook to the facory radio wire, most parts stores carry the tool to take the radio out, or you can use A fuse tap on the radio fuse in the fuse panel, just be sure to tap the side of the fuse that is not hot when the fuse is pulled out.if you need more info on the sirius unit try, www.the12volt.com
