Storage fees

Look at this truck on ebay, its emaculate.
I tried to figure out how he came up with the price of $ 24,900.00.
Based on a guess at what it cost new, ($6900.) it would work out to be $50.00 a month indoor storage and maintnence for 30 years.($18,000.00).

When you look at it that way it seems a little reasonable

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...spagenameZWDVW

I only paid 5k for mine and it was stored inside

I'd rather do a frame up for less than that and have all the conveniences of a modern day vehicle

just my $.02

it's only worth what you are willing to pay...regardless of how you justify it.

While it is extremely clean, there are some interesting things. If he is as particular about it as he portrays himself to be, why didn't he at least get a matching spare? Good luck with that now. Did Ford offer side dump exhaust back then - I don't remember seeing any? Why does the dash have a crack in it if its rarely seen the light of day? I have a 1980 car that I've owned since new and it's been garaged all but 2 of it's years, but it's dash is still immaculate - just seems odd when everything else looks "new". I'm also in agreement with Grizz - better to sink that kind of money into your own project so you know for sure where it all stands. My penny's worth.

I think somebody has been watching Barret-Jackson Auto auction a little too much. Nice truck, but I too am in agreement with Grizz. Buy a piece and dump $15k into it and have what you want. But if what you want it a low mileage semi-original, then this is kind of it. It would be worth more money if it was totally stock (no light bars or $50 in wagon wheels).

I have a build sheet on my project that just crested the $20k mark this month, and still have maybe $5k left to go. I can only say dam*, it adds up faster than you think. I am not trying to brag it up, I am almost ashamed. My only defense is, this is the nicest truck I have ever really pulled out all my stops for. I am 39 years old and have been working my *** off for the day I could do what I wanted to my ford trucks. It will be a sweet ride but probably not worth it. My next project wants to be a AC Cobra.

Yes, I need to get my Gallery updated.

$20k???....yeah, you need to update your gallery...I would love a peek at your project Drac

I am almost done and have like $10k into it...and have had to rebuild or replace almost every component....I'd like to see what $20k would do...

I need to update my gallery as well.

When I decided to by another dent side, it didn't take long to learn that you can by a rebuilt truck cheaper then you can rebuild it. And I don't seem to have the time to do it.

I watched the classifieds and ebay for a year and 5 months before I bought mine.It was garage kept and I still had to change all the rubber, fix afew things that needed fixn and a few that didn't.

I bought the truck to throw a deer in or haul hunters or carry material but now I'm afraid to scratch it

Way too much. With every upgrade/expense I do to my trucks. I know it's loss. It's an expense for my enjoyment. That would be grand if I can tally all my expenses and someone would pay up.

What I take away from it.Barring a huge medical expense. What makes a person wake up one day and after 30 years decide to sell.My guess is he's just fishing. He doesn't really want to sell it,but if that price is met.SOLD

Or maybe his old lady told him to put it up for sale. I've seen it before, "wife says it's time to sell my pride and joy (thus the million dollar price tag)."

Wife says time to sell = divorce. Plain and simple.

Reminds me of a truck driver who had an outstanding Peterbilt 359. On the bug shield it said; "Divorce Kit".

It's a nice looking truck, but 24k is way too much, unless it truly was a one off model. must of paid to much for his newly acquired Mach 1. LOL

Anyone know how I could attach an Excell sheet to either a post or my gallery?
