Transfercase noise
Hi guys, having trouble engaging the 4x4 on my 2006 F350 6.0 diesel. Started out that it would not always shift into four wheel drive. Sometimes I have to slow down to a crawl or stop completely or put it in park or get this: I would have to shut the truck off with the selector in the four high position and then re-start the truck in order for it to go into 4x4. Dealer has changed the shift motor twice, changed wiring harness, shift selector, all the electronic stuff and changed the hubs. Now seems to engage all the time but I occasionally get a heck of a grinding sound as it engages (at various speeds - no tire spin). Any advice as I am taking it back to the dealer again today.
