Hi everyone,
I just got my truck about a month ago, its a 1995 ford f250 4x4 with the 5.8L. I've done a new water pump, U-joint up front, new tie rod ends and put in a brand new battery. It leaks a little oil (not worth fixing tho). oh ya and its got 300 000 Kms on it ( thats a lil over 200 000 miles i think for you americans). I was just wondering if it would be safe to do some modifications to my truck when it has that many kms or if it would kill the engine? and if so wat do u recomend?
thanks
well, to start with id actually like to lift it up a bit so i can fir some 33 BFG all terains... then after that maybe some dual exhaust and some kinda air intake..
Well... You have to factor in the cost versus what you'll be fixing later. Wiring goes out often on old trucks. And engine can be replaced, even a tranny with relative ease. If you've gotta start tracking down wiring problems, then thats another ball park... I'd say just watch what you put in. And if you add bigger tires, make sure you drop your gears.
