Question Which one is it?

Ok, I have heard that the 302s use the same size headbolts as the 351W and some people say they are different. Now being a taller deck and more cubes wouldnt the head bolt diameter be larger? I have heard 351W uses 1/2 and the 302s n smaller use 7/16. Whats what please, thanks.

Ok, Could someone bolt up the 351W heads with 302 bolts to a 302? Because i have talked to a guy who said one of his friends did it. I dont believe it and I dont think that would be very safe, but it is possible?

Yea, you can do it. Both use two hollow dowels to locate the heads on the block. For extra protection, just use the step washers they sell for aluminum heads. ARP and others sell these. I have two sets, one on a set of E7TE's from a 351 on my 5.0 and another on the Canfield heads on my 331.

I've heard of others that have swapped 351W heads without the step washers, but I personally wouldn't do it.
