does anyyone know where to find fox coil over for a 2005 f150 4x4 with a 6 inch pro comp lift? i can only find sway away which are garbage and pro comp coils and fabtech coils and i really would like to have fox coils but cant find them please help?
Is it just because you want the name brand or are you bent on fabbing up new mounts?
Fox is a great product and they sell more or less universal coilovers. Im pretty sure you would have to take the measurements of your existing coilover along with length of travel and spring rate. Call up Fox and they will send you what you ask for. I wont guarantee it will be a bolt in deal though
stg's right... like always. Most competition coil overs like that have a universal mount, and you'll either have to make some, or get some made for your application. Plan on jumping it or something?
hahaha.......even though you prob wont see this, any progress on your build, some people here think im the only one with rocks.....
Not really... I finally got around to bolting the axles on. And some other stuff, that turned out to not be productive.
Then I made the biggest mistake that I've yet made on this build-up. As soon as I stepped back to admire the work, I said aloud for the world to witness "Rob, you're a n00b". No one heard me.
I went through all this trouble to cut out a long piece of 1/2" plate and grind it down, drill a hole in its center, taper it w/ a reamer to accept chevy TRE's, weld it onto my Rockwell tie-rod, cut DOM, taper the ends, weld in threaded bungs from Ballistic Fab, and then install the whole setup. I immediately realized that doing such had nothing to do with my original plans... HIGH STEER. Right. WTF Rob, good going. The whole time I was plasma cutting, drilling, welding, blah blah blah, it didn't occur to me that I wasn't following plans. Sweet.
Oh well, I have steering for moving it around.
I also decided that my t-case crossmember was going to hang waaaaaaay too f'ing low to be useful, so I'm going to make another out of DOM and whatever else.
How is your's going? I saw an update thread a few weeks ago? I think... maybe +/- than a few weeks... I'm losing it, I swear.
