Question Clutch

I've got a 95 PSD 5sp...When I crank it I have to damn near push the clutch through the firewall. Any ideas??!??

Also, where can I get some good cheap batteries or are those two words not going to work together in the same sentence? My alternator is charging fine (new last year)...I have not checked the water in my batteries and they sat up for a while...Do you guys think the cold weather just killed them? I think the coldest it has gotten here is around 15-20 degrees.

The clutch rod bushing under the dash is worn out, pretty common issue. You can get a new bushing from the dealer (and replace it again in a short time) or you can get one of these and never replace it again:

Yep, Cheap and cheap batteries don't go together. Get the most batteries you can afford. It calls for 7-800 CCA....each. I have two 1000 CCA batteries and it starts well below zero. OF course you need healthy GP system.

Cuda hit the nail on the head. I did my clutch rod with factory parts but that was before I knew there was a better cure. If you catch the plastic factory shim going south it can be fixed early for pennies but when the rod starts wearing the price goes up.
