Bronco engine swap compatability

ok i have an 85 bronco with the inline 6 in it, somethin is messed up in it. the truck has the c-6 tranny bolted up to it. I also have a 1977 mustang with a 302... i was wondering if the 302 would be an easy swap... will the tranny houseing match from the i-6 to the 302 or would there be some compatabiliy probs?

The 300 6 was my second choice for my bronco. I would take the 300 over the 302 anyday for a truck. I say fix the 300. that would be your best bet.

well i found out today all the 6 needs is a simple rebuild... easier than a swap so i will be sticking with the 6, thanks guys!!
