Door lock questions

I need some answers and I don't know a better place to look than here. The door lock on the rear passenger side will not unlock. Sometimes, when it is unlocked, I can push the lock button and it will lock. It will niot unlock when I push the button on the drivers side. Anybody have any thoughts on what to do?

Thanks,

I would think it could be a number of things. Maybe the cold weather(sometimes mine gets frozen.) Could be something just binding up inside. Try taking the panel off then pressing the buttons. That way you can see if anything is interfering. Maybe you will also be able to here if the locking mech is going bad. To many options.

The power door lock actuators are notorious for going bad on Excursions.

Yours is simply starting to go bad most likely.

That's the thread detailing the door lock actuator fix. Read the first couple of pages to familiarize yourself with what's wrong, then skip to the last couple pages because the "fix" has been updated with more hints and tips that have come out since the thread was created over two years ago.
